Am I cursed?

We are in a time of uncertainty.

We are blaming all kinds of things including people, sins, and even God.

I was praying this morning.  "If you have placed this pandemic on us why would you do such a thing?  I know you have done things like this before, is it because of sin this time?"

I was led to Galatians...

We are not under attack because of sin but because we lack faith in him. We do not acknowledge Him and believe in the one he has sent.

When we do not believe in Jesus Christ we are under the curse of the law.  

I know many people who would blame this pandemic on lots of issues like sexual immortality, greed, impurity, idolatry, etc. 

But God showed me this morning that it has nothing to do with those things, but everything to do with not acknowledging that we have a Savior!  

His name is Jesus Christ!  

Galatians 3:13:  But Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law.

Galatians 3:10:  But those who depend on the law to make them right with God are under his curse, for the Scriptures say, "Cursed is everyone who does not observe and obey all the commands that are written in God's Book of the Law."

Galatians: 3:22....so we receive God's promise of freedom ONLY by believing in Jesus Christ!

Galatians:  4:3:  [Before Christ] we were slaves to the basic spiritual principals (or powers) of this world.

Those of us who do not believe in Jesus Christ are under the curse of the law.  

I do not want to be under that curse.  

I am so thankful that I believe in Jesus Christ, I am so thankful that I believe in God and that I believe because of Jesus Christ I have the Holy Spirit's guidance in my life.  

With this belief comes fruit and I am so thankful for that fruit.  

Does it mean my life will be perfect? 

No.  

Does it mean I won't get the corona virus?  

No.  

But it does mean that I am not under his curse and that I have fruit.

Galatians:  5:22-23:  But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.  There is no law against these things.

The world is not under condemnation because of their sin, but because they do not believe in Jesus Christ. 

What is you fear of believing in him? That there will be a bunch of things you will have to do? That you will no longer be able to do what you want? To love who you want?  

Because of Jesus Christ these reasons you will not believe in him are not valid!  

He came to save, not to judge.  

He came because he LOVES you and wants what is BEST for you.  

If you have never accepted Jesus Christ as your savior, now is the time to RECOGNIZE him.  

CALL out to him.  

He is waiting with open arms.  

He accepts you just as you are.  

Imperfectly human and he loves you unconditionally!

Its so simple!

Pray this prayer:  Dear God, I do not know who you are but I want to know.  I want to know more about your son, Jesus Christ and how he came because of your love for me.  I do not understand your love, your ways but I want to know.  Please help me know you and your son.  Please enter my heart and teach me about your love and goodness.  In Jesus Christ's name I pray, Amen.
