Higher Love
As I was praying about what to write about this month I asked myself this question, "What would God want people to know who read this?" I truly believe that God would want you to know how much he loves you. He loves you unconditionally and unconventionally.
God loves you perfectly. He created you. He knows you fully and he accepts you fully. He loves you so much that he gave you freedom to choose his love, to believe in his love and to follow his love. No one will make you love him, not even him.
You will always have God's love available to you. All you have to do is accept it, trust it and follow it.
God will let you go and allow you to live on your own without his love. He will not force you to stay in his love. He has done all he can do for you. It is our choice to live in his love or accept not to.
What has he done?
1. He made you
2. He gave you freedom to choose what kind of life you'd like to live
3. He provided a sacrifice for your sins (Jesus Christ)
4. He gave you rules you can follow and live by (the commandments)
5. He gave you a guide to help you get things right and make right choices (the Holy Spirit)
6. He is calling you to a higher love!
Don't you want to accept it? Once you do, he will open up his loving arms and embrace you with a love you've never experienced before.
If you don't know what to say to God to accept his love for you then you can start with this prayer: Dear God, I'd like to accept your love for me. I'd like to know why you created to me. I'd like to know and feel your unconditional love for me. Please teach me about your son, Jesus. Please guide me into truth about you and your love for me. Please prove to me that you are real and that you really love me unconditionally. Please help me to see today how you have been loving me but I've been missing it. Please open my eyes to your love. Please embrace me with your love. I want to know you more, I want to learn more about you but I don't know where to begin. Please guide me to you and your love. Please rescue me with your love. Please draw me to your higher love. Amen.
